Wedding Bells For Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone This Year?

Ranveer and Deepika’s cackling onscreen (and off-screen) chemistry has garnered a lot of attention in the past few years. Ranveer’s bright and breezy attitude coupled with Deepika’s soft demeanour is what makes this celebrity couple a hit amongst fans.

The Romance

They first romanced each other in Goliyon Ki Rasleela- Ramleela and became really good friends. Their friendship soon morphed into love, and since then, all their appearances together have never fallen short of giving us couple goals.

Ranveer Singh never shies away from showing the world how much he worships his lady love, and Deepika is no less, citing Ranveer as her support system.
Being the most talked-about couple of Tinseltown, wedding rumours surrounding this couple keeps surfacing again and again.

A few weeks ago, a report revealed that they both will marry sometime between September and December 2018. Four dates for the D-day have been shortlisted.

“It will be extremely private, traditional Hindu ceremony, with the couple tying the knot in the presence of only close friends and family. The couple is still deciding if they want a reception to follow’’, said an unverified source to Mumbai Mirror.

A formal statement by the couple was not released, because their families want the couple to start this auspicious journey without public speculation and the glare of the media.

While another source told India.com “Yes, Ranveer and Deepika are getting married this year, and it is going to be a destination wedding. Both of them are beach bums, and you can expect a beach wedding. It will be an intimate affair though, with just close family and friends in attendance.”

Another source had claimed that the pair has already tied the knot in a quiet ceremony, although that just turned out to be an April fool’s prank.

Sometime in January, Deepika Padukone told Neha Dhupia in a chat show that she wants to be a Sabyasachi bride. It seems that she is impressed with Sabya’s work in Virushka’s (Virat and Anushka) wedding.


In a very recent interview with Rajeev Masand, however, Deepika stifled all the buzz surrounding her wedding, stating that when the time is right, she will know and that there is no such thing on the cards as of now. Ranveer Singh was also heard saying in an interview, that though he eventually wants to settle down, as of now, he’s busy balancing his career and life.

Whether or not all these are actually rumours, or just a ruse by the couple to keep their wedding an extremely private affair, only time will tell. But we know one thing for sure, whenever this beautiful couple decides to get hitched, their wedding will definitely be what fairy tales are made of, and will be celebrated with twice as much fan-fare than what we witnessed for Virat and Anushka’s wedding.
