A bag of popcorn which you get in cinema can contain a whole lot of calories. So what should we do, after all, popcorn is something that everyone loves? How can we make it a healthy snack? Nutritionist Vicky Bruce advises us to make a choice of small boxes of popcorn at the cinemas instead of hogging on large size or tub size or air popping it at home and combining it with dried fruit and nuts can actually balance your blood sugar and you don’t even need to ban it from your life.

Nowadays big food brands are launching yogurt which is completely fat-free as well as flavoured. Wow! Sounds stunning as they know how to rule the market. Flavored yogurt is usually high in sodium content causing water retention in the body and resulting in bloating. They don’t even contain real fruit but contain the pureed form which is high in sugar content. If someone wants to understand the difference in calorie intake, then one must compare the ingredients of regular yogurt and flavored one. Flavoring your plain yogurt with natural sweeteners like honey, fruits like strawberries, mangoes, papaya, and grapes is a healthy idea.

Flavoured Soymilk

When it comes to being healthy, one small mistake that we all do is that we go for those products that sound “healthy” not for them which are “actually healthy”. Same mistake we usually do by buying flavoured soymilk and don’t even think once before buying it.

Soy has numerous health benefits like a high amount of protein and potassium and its low in cholesterol. Not only its rich in such things but it is an excellent source of fiber, vitamin B, calcium and omega 3 fatty acids. Using soymilk for occasional dessert is not a bad idea, but for everyday drinking go for unsweetened or plain varieties.

These days the whole market is filled with lots of energy drinks which promise buyer to provide energy. And give a killer workout with no added caffeine, full of vitamins and minerals but the fact is something else.
