The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Events and location, Mumbai, Scheduled:4th – 12th February 2017

The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is an annual celebration of dance, music and other art forms. The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is named after the black equestrian statue of Edward VII that used to stand in the Fort area of Mumbai.The festival is being held every year hosted by The Kala Ghoda Association.


Children Events : Museum Garden



Theatre Plays : Horniman Circle Garden (Fort), National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), M. C. Ghia Hall (Kala Ghoda Road), Gallery Beyond.
Dance Events : Cross Maidan Gardens. Dance Workshops at Somaiya Centre (near Flora Fountain statue) and Artisans.



Movies and Films : Coomaraswamy Hall (CSMVS Museum Ground Floor), Visitor’s Centre (near entrance of Museum), Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS Ground Floor)



Food Programs: Westside (Army Navy Building), Wisk, Serafina, Somaiya Centre.
Literature Events: David Sassoon Library Garden, Seminar Room of CSMVS Museum, Artist’s Centre, Kitab Khana (ground floor of Somaiya Bhavan near Flora Fountain statue)

Music : Asiatic Society Library Steps, Cross Maidan Garden.




Heritage Walks: At different locations in South Mumbai.

Street Events: Rampart Row (Kala Ghoda Road, aka K. Dubash Road), Cross Maidan Ground.




Visual Arts Installations : Along Rampart Row (K Dubash Road), in the Parking Triangle outside Jehangir Art Gallery, Cross Maidan, Museum Garden, Commaraswamy Hall (Museum), Art Entrance, Gallery 7, David Sassoon Library, Artists’ Centre. Art talk will be held at Tarq.


Workshops: Artisans, Artists’ Centre, Somaiya Centre (Somaiya Bhavan near Flora Fountain statue), Museum Garden (CSMVS)

Standup Comedy: Irish House (Kala Ghoda Road)
