Fruits do wonders to our health, especially when it comes to oranges. The reason behind that is they may lower ischemic stroke risk for women. People who ate highest amounts of citrus fruits had a 19 % lower risk of ischemic stroke as compared to those who don’t have it or consumed them least. Secondly, they contain soluble fiber pectin that acts like a giant sponge, that sopp up cholesterol found in food.  The best part of oranges is that they contain potassium which helps counterbalance salt, keeping blood pressure under control. Galectin- 3 that causes scarring of heart tissues, leading to congestive heart failure if you are consuming oranges then you don't have to worry about it as citrus pectin neutralizes that protein.  A 2009 study showed that diet rich in fruits and veggies can decrease the risk of heart failure by 37%.
