Canned Soups

In today’s time when everything is so fast, canned food is a life saver for most of the working people as it is filling especially canned soups.

But they are big NO for health because they contain 400 or more milligrams of sodium per cup as a result high sodium can raise blood pressure, lead to bloating and make you feel sluggish.


Veggie Pizza

Flatbread typically topped with tomato sauce and cheese and baked in an oven, sounds so yummy. Pizza is very famous among everyone these days due to its cheesy taste which completely melts inside the mouth. No doubt it is good for taste buds but not for your health, whether it’s a veggie pizza or margarita pizza.

If something which spells veggie or healthy that doesn’t mean it will be healthy. Eating pizza can not only lead to the whole host of health problems such as obesity, high blood pressure and cholesterol levels and heart disease. At some places, veggie pizza is loaded with extra cheese to make up for the lack of meat or use oil-soaked dried tomatoes and olives for flavor.


Wheat Bread

"All that glitters is not gold" is a well-known saying which applies to all those products that promise to be healthy but aren’t healthy like wheat bread.

It only sounds healthy.  If the 100% whole wheat isn’t mentioned on bread, then it is definitely a white bread with just a little wheat flour mixed in it. Also, make sure that each slice has at least 2 grams of fiber - these are two marks of truly healthy bread.


Protein Shakes

Protein plays an important part in our body as hair and nails are mostly made of protein. For building and repairing tissues body uses protein for it. It is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood. But it would be great if protein goes naturally in our body.

Depending on protein shakes is not a good habit. Try to avoid protein shakes as much as you can because many are highly processed, high in sugar and lack vitamins and minerals. Instead of depending on such shakes it’s better that one goes for healthy food which is rich in protein. Be natural!


Protein Bars

Protein bars provide protein and potentially other nutrients to your diet. But are they good or bad for health that depends on one’s eating habits, fitness goals? Protein bars include protein from one or more sources like milk soy or eggs but these protein bars will help you or not that completely depends on the amount and quality of added ingredients.

When protein bars have high protein obtained from soy or animal sources, they add essential amino acids to your diet which not only help in a building but also maintain muscle mass, synthesize immune and red blood cells. Well, it’s not important that every protein bar is unhealthy but there are chances that if you flip most of them and read their nutritional value, you might be surprised. If a protein bar is organic then it's fine but most of them are highly processed, featuring artificial ingredients and fillers.


Multi-Grain Chips

Going for multi-grain chips over potato chips for snacking is always a smart snack choice or may be a smart snack choice but why may be? Let’s find out. Multi-grain chips are usually made out of whole grain white or yellow corn, although some chips may consist of other whole grains as well.

Different brands of chips mean a different amount of whole grains. Some even contain a blend of whole and refined grains in the name of "healthy chips". Not only are these many varieties of multi-grains chips high in salt. Now you have to decide what is best for you.


Multi-grain, whole-wheat and fat-free are few words that can fool any buyer, but being a buyer it is important to know what the reality is. Brands selling their products with such labels really meant it or just fooling people? So if you are really health conscious and want your body to be disease free better go for ingredients, not for the name.
